Should make like a Discord/Slack/Teams/Live Chat style user group for Evolve. I’m looking to share my works of art in real time and get some dank peepo emojis as praise

HA brb incorporating “dank peepo emojis” into my next Office Hours  But in all seriousness, I love this idea and will send it to our Sr Product Manager to have on his radar  Keep those ideas comin’! Would love to see your art :artist_palette:

I just mean there is a certain labor of love when our small niche industry of detailers takes a rough LOD300 design model and crafts it into a workable model for the installers. Not a lot of people around I can share it to who would understand that it… kind of is an art, in a way. Like a social media platform for us VDC nerds

I see it too, I see the vision ahead! :star_struck: but hey, if you wanna upload your stuff here - feel free! I’ll get it started off with a nice meme (no shade intended, Revit systems are solid)

As mainly a HVAC/PLBG guy, the new AHU/RTU families (while a little cumbersome in their current iteration) has been a fantastic tool.

It’s so difficult to pry an accurate .rfa from the manufacturer for submittal approved curb/unit - the Evolve Family just lets me get it taken care of quickly. With how fast Steel fabricators want to approve their model, it’s essential.

The align sloped pipe tool is also godsend.

Off topic:

This may not be your area of expertise, but could I speak to someone about an opportunity for “gig economy” style hiring of Evolve Mechanical license holders?

Im trying to build a roster of Union (doesn’t have to be, I just know that it’s a standard event) detailers that sometimes need to take layoffs and I have set up a flex token system thru Autodesk to assign generic users under my company domain. Just some after/weekend work to help get a little more cash.

I just started my business and I’m having to turn down work. It would be great to estimate a job hours and be able to check with the roster if any are in a downtime and can help split the work and share proportionally.

Someone who is already an Evolve license holder is a fantastic filter for viable candidates and I may encourage it as a requirement to stay active on the participation list.

Hi Donovan! I checked in with my team internally and this wouldn’t be something we can offer - with that being said, I definitely wish you all the best with your business! :right_arrow_curving_up:
Always a big adventure :star_struck:

Ok not a problem. Thanks for looking into it Makenzie. Then if you do not mind a shameless plug here (Please delete if it’s completely across the line)

There seems to already be a BIM related Discord channel BIM Fabrication Community Server - it’s such a difficult thing to Google when we run across VDC related issues and it necros up a thread from XtraCAD circa 2009

Might be a good place to bookmark and have some presence. I know I’ll personally be preaching the Evolve gospel there when it applies and backing it up with my primo peepo emojis
